WONDER WORKS CONSTRUCTION

Avalon, the former Limelight, was transformed by Wonder Works into one of the most cutting edge nightclubs in the world. Out of the structure of the previous historic church, a modern club design combined with state of the art sound and lighting systems was created.

The design concept was to create a modern intervention with the intention to highlight the breathtaking architectural elements of the original church building, such as the stone walls and the soaring gothic arches, and then float modern elements within, creating a tenuous but strong connection between the new and the old.
